HISTORY
Inspired by the extraordinary beauty and endless variety of Portugal’s iconic azulejos, Italian designer
Luca Colapietro (Bari, 1982) moved to Lisbon with the desire to reinterpret this centuries-old tradition through a contemporary and surreal artistic vision.
What began as an interior design project soon evolved into something much bigger. In May 2014, Surrealejos was born—a brand that transforms the timeless language of Portuguese tiles into imaginative artworks where reality and fantasy meet.
Each creation celebrates Portugal’s rich cultural heritage while giving it a fresh, unexpected perspective, blending craftsmanship, storytelling, and surrealism into unique ceramic pieces designed to surprise and inspire.
In the catalog you can find from individual tiles to coasters, framed compositions, porcelain plates,
limited edition pieces or
even sweatshirts.
Surrealejos develops interior design projects to decorate rooms in establishments in different countries.
